The Hunter Heritage Foundation

History: The Hunter Heritage Foundation of Alaska (HHFA) was formed by a memorandum of agreement with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game and Alaska Fish and Wildlife Conservation Fund in 1994. Originally dubbed the Alaska Hunter Education Fund, the HHFA changed its name in 1995 to better reflect its purpose, which is…

Purpose: To promote conservation of Alaska's wildlife by recruiting and educating new hunters and maintaining the interest of existing hunters. The HHFA accomplishes this by cooperating with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game on administering a variety of programs enjoyed by thousands of Alaskans.
They are:

  • Becoming an Outdoor Woman
  • Youth Shooting Sports Program
  • Hunter Clinic Series
  • Oral History Project

The HHFA represents the "education arm" of the Alaska Fish and Wildlife Conservation Fund and is a critical component to ensuring our heritage stays alive today - and tomorrow.

Donations to the HHFA are fully tax deductible under federal law. To find out more, click here to donate.
