The Hunter Heritage Foundation (HHFA) was formed by a Memorandum of Agreement between the Alaska Department of Fish and Game and the Alaska Fish and Wildlife Conservation Fund (Fund) in 1994. Over the years, it has become the premier sponsor of outdoor educational programs in Alaska, ranging from the Youth Shooting Sports Program to the Becoming an Outdoor Women Program.

The Purpose of the Hunter Heritage Foundation is to promote conservation of Alaska's wildlife by recruiting and educating new hunters and maintaining the interest of existing hunters. The HHF represents the "education arm" of the Alaska Fish and Wildlife Conservation Fund and is a critical component to ensuring our outdoor heritage stays alive today - and tomorrow.
